Halcyon Quartet
October TBA
Halcyon String Quartet has built a reputation in Midcoast Maine as something more than a chamber ensemble — a collective of musicians, filmmakers, and storytellers whose performances often weave together live music, animation, and narrative into ambitious multimedia experiences. This is not that. This is their fourth appearance at Tenderwild, and what they’re bringing is the thing at the center of everything else they do: four instruments in a room, playing music. Josie Davis, Sophie Davis, Colin Wheatley, and Julia Henderson have spent years earning the attention of audiences across Maine. This time they’re joined by Luke Fatora — steps out from behind the production gear and picks up his violin. Five players, no film, no narration, no production. Chamber music in a barn, unadorned beauty.
