Halcyon String Quartet
Sunday, November 3 at 5pm
Join Halcyon String Quartet at Tenderwild Farm for Fireside Sessions - a cozy and festive evening of live music featuring arrangements of folk tunes from Scandinavia and Northern Europe. Based in Midcoast Maine, Halcyon is an artist collective and string quartet that designs and presents multimedia performances that combine live music with film, art, science, and spoken word. All of their performances seek to create spaces for community to gather, reflect, celebrate, and connect. Fireside Sessions is about coming together to celebrate the warmth, color, and joy of the fall time. The program will last just under an hour, the farm store will be open, and the woodstove will be burning!

Sacred Arts Tour • Fire Puja
Friday, November 1 at 5pm
Join the Sacred Arts Tour monks for a magical evening at Tenderwild Farm! The Fire Puja is an ancient Tibetan Buddhist ceremony for removing obstacles to enlightenment. The monks will chant traditional blessings for world peace and well-being, with symbolic offerings and musical performance. All ages are welcome to gather around the fire to experience this unique opportunity as a global community.
The National Sacred Arts Tour benefits the 2000 Tibetan Buddhist monks of the Drepung Gomang Monastery in Mundgod, India. All events are freely offered, with suggested donation of $10-20 per person. There will be a donation box at the event, as well as Tibetan merchandise for sale. Wear comfortable shoes and bring layers as we will enjoy the fire puja as the sun sets.

Midcoast Climate, Energy, and Green Building Happy Hour comes to the farm! Learn how we are using bio-intensive, no-till practices to nurture the ecosystem while increasing organic food access, and building community. Come meet new friends working across the climate-action spectrum.

Davis Duo - Violin Concert

Violinists Josie and Sophie Davis have been playing music together for most of their lives. Raised in Waldoboro, the sisters are dedicated to learning about musical traditions from around the world and have taught and performed on five continents. Their programs are joyful, celebratory, and reflective, capturing their love of all types of music with repertoire ranging from classical favorites to traditional folk melodies. Josie and Sophie currently teach and perform in Maine and are members of the Halcyon String Quartet.

Literary Garden

From their homes on opposite coasts, Kelley (based in Maine) and Taylor (living in California) share similar interests in the ways in which our connections with the more-than-human world can provide wisdom, solace, and inspiration.
