About
Tenderwild is an organic no-till vegetable farm in Rockport, Maine. Our mission is to grow exceptional food, and to nurture a vibrant ecosystem on the land and a living presence in our community through our farm store and events. The farm was established in 2020 by Peter Alsop and Morgen Van Vorst.
No till farming
Great produce starts with healthy soil. Certified organic, we use no-till methods, including natural mulches and cover crops, to grow exceptionally tasty vegetables. Our land stewardship practices focus on establishing abundant habitat for pollinators, songbirds, frogs, and other beneficial creatures.

Food security
From the farm’s start, we’ve been committed to making good food accessible: Every year we give at least five percent of what we grow to partner food aid organizations.
