Liliana Hudgens was born on a half moon in Georgia and now lives in the hills of Southern Appalachia, which tells you something about the kind of songwriter she is — rooted, unhurried, and working in a tradition she takes seriously. Her music moves between country, folk, and gospel without treating any of them as costumes: the sacred and the profane arrive in the same breath, held together by a voice that can do more with a prolonged note than most singers do with a whole verse. Her 2023 EP Last Line drew comparisons to the Everly Brothers and earned immediate attention; her follow-up Grace — produced by John James Tourville of The Deslondes — went deeper, darker, and more fully her own.
TENDERWILD FARM WELCOMES CRABTREE SESSIONS
Crabtree Sessions has been happening on North Haven for five years — live music at Turner Farm, one of the most beautiful settings in Maine. The catch: unless you live on the island, you can’t go. No late ferries, nowhere to stay. This season, two farms on either side of the Pen Bay are joining forces to change that. Crabtree Sessions comes to the mainland for the first time, hosted at Tenderwild Farm — same spirit, same commitment to music that means something, new shore. If you’ve heard about these shows and wondered what you were missing, pull up a chair. We’re glad you’re here.
THE NICE TO KNOWS
Doors open and fire pit lit at 6pm.
